CurriculumFor Primary Students
Akshara believes that the school curriculum should take care of holistic development (physical, intellectual, logical and spiritual) of its pupils. At the primary level, it offers a broad multidisciplinary and balanced curriculum to enable learning through a structured schooling program. The focus is on:
- Developing strong fundamentals in academics
- Good physical development and team spirit through sports
- Broad intellectual development through performing arts
- Inculcating good moral values rooted in Indian culture along with a commitment to Community Service
The teaching approach is centered around activity-based experiential learning to stimulate the development of multiple intelligences, inherent in each child.
We do this by adopting the modern methods of teaching like use of LCD projectors, Audio-Visual, Story Method, Exploration and Research, Group Discussions (Debate) to make learning effective and an enjoyable experience.

FAQ
When does the Session start every year?
Every year the primary session starts in the 1st week of April.
What if regular physical school classes do not start in April?
Students will continue to learn at home virtually till the time lockdown is lifted and regular school resumes. In the current session, we have ensured learning continued for our students through online classes supported by digital resource material in our Learning Management System (LMS).
Is the school environment safe, secure and hygienic for my child?
Our school is a safe and secure environment with measures like CCTV, police verification of staff, GPS enabled transport vehicles in place. The premises are cleaned every day morning before arrival of students and sanitized besides regular fumigation and pest control. Post lockdown additional measures like social distancing, masks etc. will be implemented to prevent spread of Covid-19 virus.
What if my child falls ill at school?
School has a well equipped infirmary and is managed by a doctor with ICU experience who provides first level medical support and gets in touch with parent whenever a medical issue happens. Minor ailments are handled in the school infirmary itself and in case of medical emergency the student is shifted to Aditya Birla Hospital.
Can we apply for admissions while the schools are closed for Covid-19 ?
At Akshara we are following a virtual online admission process wherein the admission counsellor and parent can have discussion over phone call or video calls and finalise the admissions. At present school visits are not allowed, as per the government lockdown guidelines but parents can take a virtual tour. Once the lockdown rules are lifted and schools reopened, we can schedule a physical visit and interaction.
What is the fee structure?
Kindly send a mail mentioning the class to the Admission Team for fees structure on admissions@akshara.in
Will there be any reduction in fees if Physical Classes do not resume?
Yes. We have given rebate during current session and the same will be given proportionately in next academic session for the months in which there are no physical classes.
Will the Day Boarding program be offered next year?
