Liberal Arts Education
- A Liberal Art’s degree’s uses are not always obvious. Although this may seem to be a flaw, it actually can give a humanities major a great degree of flexibility, especially in a shifty job market.
- Humanities majors are taught to be ethical decision-makers and creative problem-solvers.
- Studying the humanities helps people to improve their communication skills. It is called the humanities because it deals with the way humans interact with one another.
“What many people don’t realize is that humanities education can be very valuable in a professional sense because it fosters creative and analytical thinking. In the video to the left, Steve Jobs describes how “the marriage of technology and the liberal arts” has led to Apple’s innovative success.”
