‘No One Can Whistle a Symphony; It Takes a whole Orchestra to Play It!’
This proved true when ‘District – 14’, the Akshara Music Band performed in the ‘Battle of The Bands’, a national level music band competition for students organised by the Torrins Group on December 1, 2018. The team consisted of students of class 10, namely Shoubhit Datta, Aman Prasad, Ashmit Narula, Atharva Zhodpe, Partha Talati, Shivam Dhumal. Each member of the District-14, may it be the vocalist, drummer, guitarists or the musician at the synthesizer, played his role in perfect synchronization creating a truly magical experience for the audience.
The ‘Battle of The Bands’ which was held at the Blue Ridge Public School, Hinjewadi, witnessed a healthy competition between ten music bands from various parts of India. Each band performed amazingly but team Akshara surpassed all other performance with their vigour, energy and co-ordination. And as expected by the crowd, they bagged the first prize, which comprised of a trophy and a cash award of Rs.35000/-. This achievement was possible only because the hard work of the students under the able guidance of their mentors from Torrins group, Mr. Sumant Deore, Mr. Shubham Kolekar and Ms.Preeti Sharma. Their skillful training and valuable suggestions helped the students to achieve this success. It was indeed a proud day for every Aksharite and every music lovers.
