LOGIQIDS – AWARD OF EXCELLENCE
LogIQids, established by alumni of IIT and IIM, conducts logical reasoning competitions for their students from class 2 to class 9 every year. These competitions enrich and challenge the minds of the future leaders and visionaries of the country. The enrolled students are guided through a series of topic notes to develop a systematic approach to logical reasoning, keeping in mind the child’s strengths and weaknesses because we understand that we cannot bracket every child in a square box.
In the recently held Logical Reasoning Olympiad the school was presented “AWARD OF EXCELLENCE” for the outstanding performance of the students .
Why develop Logical Reasoning ?
‘Logical Thinking’ is the process in which one uses reasoning consistently to come to a conclusion. Problems or situations that involve logical thinking call for structure, for relationships between facts, and for chains of reasoning that “make sense.” Logical thinking is also an important foundational skill of math. Between approximately 2 and 3 years, children begin to understand the logical connection between ideas — the “why” of things — which is the reason they start to ask “Why?” about almost everything.As in every case of a human developing brain, the earlier we start the better it is to form neural pathways in the brain to facilitate thinking patterns and habit formations.
Akshara understands the importance and value of what logical reasoning skills impart to a growing child’s mind. They have always propagated facilitating the freedom of curiosity in a growing child’s mind. Always encouraged and motivated students to not follow set patterns of thinking, to be able to think and logically analyse existing norms and structures to be able to innovate and think of changes for the betterment of the process.
