International School Award (ISA)
Akshara has been awarded the ISA award by British Council after demonstrating International Dimension within its curriculum across all it sections from pre-primary to secondary.
What Is An ISA Award?
The British Council offers the International School Award (ISA) as an accreditation framework for schools to record and evaluate their international work and embed it into the curriculum and whole school ethos.
How Akshara was Evaluated
As part of the ISA action plan, the school planned and executed seven different project activities for students of different age groups which were titled as ‘Mindfulness’, ‘Transport’, ‘My Tribe My Plate’, ‘Help Us Green’, ‘Global Peace’, ‘Le Monde Fancophone’, and ‘Carbon Footprints’. The evidence based 250-page dossier was submitted to the British Council for accreditation and each activity was evaluated on 8 parameters.
Akshara Awarded ISA Award for 2019-22
In the evaluation, all seven activities scored full marks (56/56) and thus Akshara was recommended for International School Award. The Award was presented to the school in a ceremony held on 12th December and was received by the Chairperson Mrs. Jyoti Rathore who had herself lead the Mindfulness in School Project (MiSP) activity in collaboration with a UK school.
