Academics
In the senior secondary program, the school follows the curriculum provided by CBSE which is based on National Curriculum Framework-2005. In addition to academics the curriculum aims to nurture Life-Skills by prescribing curricular and co-curricular activities to help improve self-esteem, empathy and physical health.
The school offers Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams at the Senior Secondary level. Students have to choose 5 subjects from the subject combinations offered by the school (which will be dependent on number of students opting).
The class lecture timings in senior secondary are as follows:
Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Saturday (1st, 3rd & 5th) – 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The school has Learning Management System (LMS) to support digital learning using Microsoft Teams. The LMS provides students access to resources like worksheets and practice papers. It is also used for communication between teacher and students including for submission and checking of assignments.
During the lockdown the LMS was extensively used to conduct online classes and share recorded lectures.
Competitive Exams Support
What is the Integrated Coaching program?
The school has designed the Integrated Coaching Program for students focused on the IIT JEE and other engineering competitive entrance exams. In this program:
- The Coaching Experts teach in school and hence time spent in travelling to coaching classes is saved.
- The syllabus coverage of Board classes is synchronized with the competitive exams teaching and access to recorded lectures from school’s Learning Management System (LMS) are provided
- Extra classes are conducted during Vacations (Summer, Diwali and Christmas break)
- Regular assessment for timely progress feedback to student and parents
How are the Competitive entrance exam results?
The students have performed well in various competitive entrance exams like IIT- JEE, MHCET and NEET. The recent selections are as follows:

Akshara students have succeeded in various competitive Exams Like:-

How are the Class XII Board exam results?
The students have consistently shown excellent results in the Class XII Board exams and nearly , 50% of the students score above 90%.

Admissions
When do admissions start? When do classes start?
Students with good academic record can apply for admission before the declaration of Class X Board results by filling up the Registration Form to block seats. The first batch classes start in mid-April as a Bridge Course while the second batch starts in early-June.
What documents are required to secure admission?
To secure provisional admission students need to submit copies of their class IX & X mark sheets along with 2 passport size photographs. The admission gets confirmed after submission of Class X Board exam mark sheet, School Leaving Certificate and Character Certificate from the school last attended.

Does the school have mess facility?
The school has mess facility for students with the provision of breakfast and lunch
Which areas are covered by school transport?
The school has an extensive transport coverage. Parents can refer to School Transport document to know the areas serviced by the current bus routes. The routes get re-planned at the start of academic session to optimize travel time for the students.
The Bus charges are not included in the Annual School Charges. They are decided at the start of the academic session and are payable in two installments.
