Why Commerce after 10th ?
Studying Commerce after 10th lays the foundations for formal commerce education (3 year undergraduate Degree program) after completing which, one may choose from a wide variety of PG professional courses and specialize in many other fields/areas (see list below ). The diversity offered by commerce stream is one of the main factors that attracts students to opt for Commerce stream after the 10th standard. If the student is good with numbers, good at analyzing and dealing with large chunks of data, has a taste in finance and economics, commerce stream will definitely suit him/ her.

Why study CBSE Commerce curriculum?
The CBSE board is known for its well-evaluated curriculum and course books by NCERT. All essential subjects and their relevant topics are incorporated in this syllabus by maintaining a proper order. Hence, students get thorough knowledge from this syllabus. Also the Board is well recognized which helps while seeking admission to under-graduate courses in the country and world wide.

Subject choices:
In CBSE Commerce stream: Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics are compulsory core subjects.
Among the optional subjects, Mathematics is one such subject that will come handy while pursuing professional courses like CA (Chartered Accountancy) training, CS (Company Secretaryship) training, Economics etc.
